WHAT AND WHY PAGES

The purpose of having a group of medical and non-medical volunteers is to provide no cost both medical and surgical support to well deserving poor people of the Philippines most especially children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate and other physical deformities that may require reconstruction and surgeries and at the same time, medical support services to be extended as well to recipients. 

IRS REGISTRATION AND RECOGNITION 

PAGES was registered and recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Services (IRS) on May 10, 1990 as a nonprofit tax-exempt organization under the 501c3 tax exempt status making official and legal to operate as an organization under the U.S. laws. 

HOW DID PAGES STARTED THE MISSION

To implement the initial PAGES plan in scheduling no cost surgeries, a group of surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, nurses and other allied medical team are needed and must be established and formed in order to provide the medical services to the needy patients. The team members were identified and the first mission schedule was on February 1991. 

OTHER NATIONALITIES JOINING 

The PAGES team members joining the mission changes and not only Philippine nationals who became Americans who started the group but other nationalities came on board to be members as well. PAGES became an International nationality group member from U.S.A, UK, AUSTRALIA, HONG KONG and even from the PHILIPPINES. More surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other non-medical volunteers joined and became part of the PAGES group. 

FINANCIAL STATUS

PAGES do have bank account with Wells Fargo Bank. All funds donated to PAGES are being deposited on the account. A list of account receivable and expenses are kept and can be released anytime on request by any of the active members, donors and officials of IRS and U.S. court legal and officials.

PAGES MISSION FUNDS

Operation funding in any organizations, groups or corporations are always needed in order to reach the level of goal progress, specifically on the case of PAGES, funds are needed in order to operate according to what the mission is. Medical equipment like anesthesia, cautery and suction machines are needed during surgery cases. Medical supplies and medicines must be on hand to be used during the mission. Laboratory blood work tests, X rays for each patient must be done before scheduling for treatment and needed surgery. 

PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION

PAGES is also registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION with official address at 298 Col. M. Topacio St. Imus City, Province of Cavite

The purpose of PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION is the same as the PAGES in the U.S.A, to provide no cost medical services to mostly deserving patient’s family and to provide support on their daily nutritional needs. Every scheduled mission of PAGES U.S.A. are to be assisted by the selected volunteer staff of PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION.

The needed funding on the PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION are supported by PAGES U.S.A. Any donations to PAGES PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION are being deposited at bank account with China Bank Savings under PAGES MEDICAL SERVICES.

AWARDS AND COMMENDATIONS

PAGES was given the Philippine presidential BANAAG AWARD by her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo for doing the philanthropic support for the poor people of the Philippines who cannot afford the medical services and medical professional fees.

In the Province of Cavite the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo for Outstanding Achievement Award was given by the late Governor of the Province of Cavite to PAGES. The Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo is one of the highest awards given to a group by the Cavite provincial government who provide no cost medical services and support to the poor people of the province.

There are several commendations received by PAGES group and all of it are very much appreciated. Commendation, awards or what not, the mission will remain in place to continue in serving the medical needs of the deserving people of the Philippines.
